Yet Another Envelope Style

This one is a little more finicky because the name has to be centered and the ink of the address has to be black enough to match the intense black of the Sumi Moon Palace ink I use with the pointed pen for the name.  But I think it's fun and striking.

  1. I love your envelopes. I tried to do one similar, without the calligraphy and failed miserably. I need to cut up some copy paper to the size of an envelope and practice on that so I can quit wasting good envelopes!

    1. Well, I'll tell you a secret. That's exactly what I did here. This is not actually an envelope -- it's an envelope-sized piece of scrap crafting paper, like you might use in scrapbooking or card-making. :-) It gave the same effect and was good for practice too! I also keep a calligraphy sketchbook where I work on different address styles and just basic goofing off with the pen.
