NaPoWriMo 2012

April 1 is the first day of NaPoWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month) 2012.  Each day for the 30 days of April, the participants in this casual online gathering write one poem on any topic.  These poems can be posted on one's blog, or not.  (NaPoWriMo is not the writing machine that NaNoWriMo is, for sure, but I kind of like that -- it's more like what NaNoWriMo was when it started years ago, before it became something of a big business.)  I am posting about NaPoWriMo here because I plan to participate in it, and post each day's poem here.

You are skeptical.

I can see it on your face.

You are thinking about the 31 Days of My Favorite Writing Instruments plan, back in January, where I blogged about my favorite pens and pencils.

TWO of them, NOT 31.

Well, I never let the facts and reality get in the way of my enthusiasm.  So I am planning on writing a poem a day in April, and posting each poem here.  They will be dying works of art, for sure, but it will be the act (and regularity, hopefully) of writing that will be important here.

Wish me luck!
